Information We Collect

• Contact & business information — name, email, phone, company, and mailing/business address you provide in inquiries, listings, or account setup.
• Equipment information — equipment details, condition notes, documents, and photos or video you submit for listings or sales.
• Financing & credit-application information — when you apply for equipment financing, we collect the information the lender requires, which may include your date of birth, Social Security number, business ownership details, tax ID, and financial information about your business, along with your authorization to obtain a consumer/credit report.
• Transaction information — purchase, sale, delivery, and payment details needed to complete a transaction.
• Usage & device information — pages viewed, approximate location, IP address, and similar analytics collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to list and sell equipment, respond to inquiries, process and facilitate transactions and equipment financing, arrange delivery, provide customer support, prevent fraud, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information.

Text Messaging (SMS)

Proxy Equipment sends transactional text messages — one-time login verification codes (two-factor authentication) and account, delivery, and support notifications — to people who provide a mobile number. This includes our sales representatives and staff who add a number to their portal profile, and customers who share one for a transaction. By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive these messages at that number, including via automated systems.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts will not affect your ability to use our services through other channels.

We do not share mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the service providers that help us deliver these messages (for example, our SMS provider), solely to send the messages you have consented to receive.

Service Providers We Share Information With

We share information only as needed to operate our services, with providers who are contractually bound to protect it:

• Hosting & database — DigitalOcean (application hosting and managed, encrypted database).
• Email delivery — SendGrid and Google Workspace (transactional and support email).
• Text messaging (SMS) — Twilio (login verification codes and transactional notifications).
• Maps & location — Google (address entry, mapping, and distance estimates).
• Electronic signatures — Firma.dev (signing sales, purchase, and related agreements).
• Financing & credit — equipment lenders (including Mazo Capital) and consumer-reporting/credit services, which receive credit-application information solely to evaluate and fund financing you request, with your authorization.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Credit Applications & Financial Information

Credit-application data — including any Social Security number and date of birth — is collected only when you choose to apply for financing and is used solely to obtain a consumer/credit report (with your authorization, as a permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act) and to submit your application to lenders. This information is transmitted over encrypted connections and is not used for marketing or shared for any purpose other than the financing you request.

Data Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, and other administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect sensitive identifiers with additional care.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Transaction and financing records are generally retained for the period required by applicable law; you may request deletion of information we are not required to keep (see below).

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) have additional rights, including the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand site traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.
