Marine Propulsion Package comprising 2 Counter Rotating General Motors - Detroit Diesel 6-110 in line 6 cylinder Two Stroke Diesel Engines, with Roots Type Blowers, and rated at 440 horse power @ 1800 rpm and a FALK Marine Gear. Both engines drive through one marine gear. This propulsion package was designed specifically for a Double Ended Ferry, operating on short routes.Although the 6-110 was introduced in 1945, these particular engines were installed in a New York City ferry, the "Michael Cosgrove", which was built in Rhode Island in 1961.Both engines can be barred over without issue and 2 spare Roots Blowers are included with the package.
