About this RD690S

1997 Mack RD series heavy-duty conventional cab truck. The RD series was designed for demanding vocational applications including construction, refuse, logging, coal hauling, oil field, and municipal/utility work. Available in multiple configurations with Mack E-TECH EM7-300 diesel engine producing 300 hp at 1750 RPM with peak horsepower of 310 hp at 1500 RPM and 1,425 lb-ft torque at 1020 RPM. Features Mack T2060 6-speed overdrive transmission with ratios from 9.02 low to 0.60 high. Conventional cab design with 79-inch front axle to back-of-cab dimension. Axle capacities up to 20,000 lb front and 50,000 lb tandem rear. Extended service interval of 16,000 miles. Integral front frame extension available for heavy-duty snow removal applications.
